About the University
The Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften München, also known as the Munich University of Applied Sciences or HM, is a large public university of applied sciences located in Munich, Germany. Founded in 1971 through the amalgamation of seven colleges of technology and higher education, some dating back to the early 19th century, HM has grown to become the largest university of its kind in Bavaria and one of the largest in Germany, with approximately 18,000 students.
HM is spread across three campuses in Munich: Campus Lothstraße, Campus Pasing, and Campus Karlstraße. The urban campuses offer students a vibrant learning environment with modern facilities and easy access to the city's rich cultural offerings and attractions.
The university offers a wide range of practice-oriented programs in the areas of Engineering, Economics, Social Sciences, and Design.
