Previous Degree

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in fields like computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering (communications), electronics engineering, or automation.

Minimum standard period of study: 3 yеars.

GPA Comment

The Cumulative Grade Point Average/Overall Average (CGPA) must be better than (value/best on the scale):

  • 70% of best-on-scale, e.g.,
  • 70%/100%,
  • 2.8/4,
  • 3.5/5,
  • 14/20,
  • 7/10,
  • 2.5/1.0 (for German Marks).

Remark: original marks/grades are requested, not a conversion to German gradеs.

  1. Bachelor's degree and study duration:
    1. For applicants with non-European first-level degrees (UC=NE):
      1. Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree or similar, e.g. BTech, BE, BCS, BCA but not B.A. Master's degrees do not qualify.
      2. 3 to 4 years of regular study time.
    2. For applicants with a European (including German) first-level degrees (UC=E):
      1. Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree or similar, e.g. BTech, BE, BCS, BCA but not B.A., or
      2. Diploma Degree from a university of one of the European Union member states. Master's degrees do not qualify, and
      3. 3 to 4 years of regular study time.
    3. For applicants with German (Fach)-Hochschule/Berufsakademie (Duale Hochschule) Degrees (UC=E):
      1. Bachelor's/Diplom degree from a German (Fach)Hochschule or Berufsakademie (Duale Hochschule), whose degrees are equivalent to those of a state university.
    4. Note: [European] refers to the official member states of the European Union (EU).
  2. Awarding university/Higher educational institution: The degrees of the awarding institutions have to be recognized as equivalents to those awarded by a German institution without restrictions.  The institution should have a 'Status' of 'H+' in the Anabin database of The Standing Conference of the German Ministers of Education (KMK). In some cases, a status of H+/- is also acceptable.
  3. Study field: Fields like computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering (communications), electronics engineering, or automation.
  4. GPA requirements: See GPA comment.
  5. English proficiency: All students will be required to show proof of a working knowledge of the English language. MoI (If the undergraduate studies have been held in the English language, it is sufficient to provide a certification from the university) is also accepted. See the language requirements for the tests accepted.
  6. Special, country-dependent requirements: China, Mongolia, India, and Vietnam must provide an APS certificatе.
