Additional information:
Generally speaking, all applicants to the program need to take a language test to demonstrate proficiency in the language. The exceptions to the rule are students who hold a passport from, and/or completed their entire undergraduate education in one of the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Australia, or New-Zealand. Students who studied for one year or less in one of the above-named countries do not automatically qualify for a language test waiver. Students from other English speaking countries, such as India, Pakistan, Cameroon, or Kenya, do not automatically qualify for a language test waiver. Language test waivers are granted for applicants who completed their entire bachelor's degree at University of Applied Sciences, Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, or at Jacobs University in Bremen. If you attended another German university and your entire program was conducted in English, you may also qualify for a waiver. Otherwise, waivers are rarely granted.

  1. Official (preliminary) transcript.
  2. Language test result (see language requirements).
  3. Letter of motivation.
  4. CV.

You will also be asked to provide the email addresses of two referees who can write letters of recommendation on your behalf. Your referees will be provided with the necessary password and recommendation form so that they can upload their letters themselves.

If your referees do not have an institutional email address, please ask your referees to email the admissions office and send their letters of reference on your behalf directly to the admissions office via email. The university will do its best to manually submit each letter to the appropriate applicant's file. However, please be aware that if the university receives too many requests for manual submission, they may not be able to upload all letters on time.

Applicants from China, Vietnam, and Mongolia are required to have their documents pre-checked at the Academic Evaluation Centre (APS) in order to obtain a student visa.
